About the job Bookkeeper (Pooling)
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will have experience managing financial records, reconciling accounts, processing payroll, and handling accounts payable and receivable. Knowledge of Australian taxation and accounting practices, or prior experience working with Australian companies, is a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Reconcile bank and credit card transactions.
Manage accounts payable and receivable.
Process payroll in compliance with Australian payroll regulations (if applicable).
Prepare BAS, GST, and other tax-related reports under Australian tax laws (preferred but not required).
Generate financial reports, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting to support financial planning.
Work with accountants and clients to ensure compliance with Australian financial regulations.
Perform data entry, invoicing, and general administrative financial tasks.
Qualifications & Skills:
At least 2 years of bookkeeping experience (preferably in an Australian business setting).
Strong knowledge of Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks (Australian version preferred).
Familiarity with Australian tax laws, BAS, GST, and Superannuation is a plus.
Proficiency in bank reconciliation, payroll processing, and financial reporting.
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setup.
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and other accounting tools.
