About the job Bookkeeper
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will have experience managing financial records, reconciling accounts, processing payroll, and handling accounts payable and receivable. Prior experience working with Australian companies and knowledge of Australian taxation and accounting practices is a strong advantage. Candidates with NDIS experience are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Process accounts receivable, including generating invoices and following up on overdue payments
Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial documents
Manage accounts payable and assist with vendor communications
Perform general ledger entries and assist with month-end closing procedures
Assist with payroll processing and related tasks
Maintain and update financial records in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero)
Prepare financial reports and provide regular updates to management
Assist with budget preparation and forecasting
Provide support for year-end audits and tax filings
Qualifications:
Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles (2+ years preferred)
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage)
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication skills and ability to interact with internal teams and clients
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred but not required)
