We are looking for a skilled UX Designer to join our clients team on a contract basis. Our client is an innovative company specializing in data visualization and spatial data solutions.

They are relaunching one of their key software mapping products and require a UX designer to enhance the user journey and improve the look and feel of the product.

As a UX Designer, you will work onsite with our client (twice per week) to evaluate and enhance the user experience of their software products. Your primary focus will be on refining the user journey, recommending visual and navigational improvements, and ensuring the product design aligns with the expectations of C-Suite users. This role involves close collaboration with the client's product teams, providing insights and guidance on best practices for user interface design in a data visualization context.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the team to analyze the user journey and navigation of their software products.
  • Provide recommendations to enhance the visual front-end design, ensuring it meets the high standards expected by C-Suite users.
  • Collaborate directly with the clients product managers, developers, and data visualization experts to create a seamless and engaging user interface.
  • Evaluate and provide feedback on the visual and functional aspects of data visualization platforms used in the clients products.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest UX/UI design best practices, particularly in data visualization and spatial data applications.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a UX Designer, with a strong portfolio demonstrating experience in data visualization and enterprise software.
  • Expertise in designing for executive-level users, with a deep understanding of user-centered design principles.
  • Proficiency in design tools
  • Experience working with data visualization tools and platforms.
  • Any experience in creating or design of maps would be a huge advantage
  • Strong analytical skills to assess complex user journeys and propose intuitive navigation solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale effectively.
  • Ability to work independently while onsite and collaborate closely with the clients team.
