This expanding small to medium-sized enterprise (SME) in Cape Town is an authorized Microsoft Partner, specializing in full-stack solutions for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and related Microsoft Products like Power Platform. With a diverse client base spanning various industries both locally and internationally, they boast a certified team of consultants, developers, testers, business analysts, technical architects, and project managers.
The Role and Work Environment
As a QA Tester, you'll join their international team embedded with a key client, collaborating remotely with teams in the UK and India.
The company values teamwork, technical proficiency, quality documentation, and effective communication. As part of their commitment to maintaining a qualified team, full-time employees are required to pass at least one Microsoft certification annually, with support provided to achieve this goal.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze system specifications
- Create and execute both manual and automated test cases, analyzing results
- Document testing phases and defects through detailed logs
- Report bugs and errors to development teams
- Collaborate across functions to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
- Design and develop automation scripts using open-source tools
- Identify, analyze, and document issues with program functions, outputs, and user interfaces
- Conduct post-release and post-implementation testing
- Implement automation testing and improve regression testing processes
- Work with Microsoft Business Central Web Client's built-in test tools and performance utilities
- Test and integrate with external system APIs using tools like Postman
Requirements
- Degree preferred
- Proven experience as a Software Tester / QA or in a similar role
- Must have experience testing ERP systems
- ExperienCE testing Financial modules or Finance ERPs would be a huge advantage
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and cases
- Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with API testing tools like Postman
- Experience with Microsoft Automate or similar automation software
- Understanding of business requirements and ability to translate software specifications into testable conditions
- Skills in identifying flaws, reporting bugs, creating test scripts, and assessing software performance
- Must be based in Cape Town and have a South African ID
- Must be willing to work in office 3 days per week
