Role Overview:
The Head of Sales will oversee the revenue generation function, drive market expansion, and ensure successful software sales to corporate clients. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role includes managing sales teams, aligning sales efforts with company objectives, and providing strategic insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue goals and market expansion.
- Lead and manage sales teams, providing coaching and performance management.
- Build strong relationships with key clients and provide tailored compliance solutions.
- Develop strategies to drive revenue growth and enhance partner engagement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales with overall company objectives.
- Streamline sales processes to improve efficiency and lead generation.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics for competitive advantage.
- Provide regular sales performance reports and strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and partnerships.
- Represent the company at industry events and networking forums.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing strategies to secure profitable deals.
- Drive a customer-centric culture within the sales team.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelors degree in business or a related field.
- At least 7-10 years of sales management experience, with a focus on SaaS or similar services.
- We require that the individual to have experience in managing high volume transactional sales environments.
- Strong understanding of compliance and transformation landscapes in South Africa would be a huge benefit
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a competitive environment.
- Strategic thinker with a track record of executing successful sales plans.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Experienced in leading sales teams, improving processes, and mentoring staff.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tools.
