As a Senior Quantitative Analyst, you will design, build, and deploy advanced predictive models and complex algorithms to drive edge in energy trading, forecasting, and resource optimization. Based in Ljubljana, this is a high-impact, research-driven role designed for an applied scientist or quantitative practitioner.

Your Impact

  • Develop Advanced Predictive Models: Build, refine, and deploy robust ML, time-series, and probabilistic models tailored specifically to volatile energy market dynamics.
  • Lead Feature Engineering & Data Architecture: Evaluate diverse data sources, execute end-to-end feature engineering, and design optimal pipelines for predictive modeling.
  • Drive Algorithmic Innovation: Research and implement cutting-edge statistical methods and machine learning algorithms for forecasting, risk assessment, and trading optimization.
  • Automate Analytics: Digitalize and streamline complex analytical workflows to provide real-time decision support for trading and origination functions.
  • Shape AI Strategy: Collaborate closely with commercial and executive leaders to help define and build the company's future analytics and quantitative AI roadmap.

What You Bring

  • Relevant Track Record: 4+ years of hands-on experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Quantitative Analysis, or Applied Research (a Postdoctoral research background in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or Operations Research is highly valued).
  • Deep Theoretical & Applied Foundation: Exceptional expertise in probability, statistics, optimization methods, and machine learning (time-series, ensemble methods, probabilistic modeling, deep learning).
  • Solid Tech Stack: Strong proficiency in Python, version control (Git), SQL, and handling large-scale, complex datasets.
  • Targeted Focus: Applied mindset focused on predictive modeling, optimization, and time-series data.
  • Research Mindset & Autonomy: Proven ability to independently bridge the entire gap from complex mathematical problems and raw data to commercial-grade solutions.
  • Language & Communication: High fluency in English; strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex quantitative concepts clearly.
