Our client, a market leader with over 35 years of experience in service and distribution within the FMCG sector, is looking for a seasoned Procurement Lead. This role offers a unique opportunity for a forward-thinking and strategic procurement leader to manage and optimize the supply chain and procurement operations within the equipment, machinery, and services sector of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives, ensuring cost-effectiveness and reliability of supply.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and performance management.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (e.g., operations, finance, and logistics) to ensure procurement initiatives align with company goals.
- Oversee inventory management and ensure timely supply of equipment, consumables, and services, with a focus on improving efficiency.
- Identify new suppliers and continuously evaluate existing partnerships to optimize supply chain performance.
- Monitor market trends and analyze data to anticipate procurement needs, mitigate risks, and make informed purchasing decisions.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a senior procurement role, ideally within service-oriented industries such as FMCG, equipment servicing, or logistics.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of reducing costs and improving supplier relationships.
- Experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and inventory optimization.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
