Progeny HR Solutions LLC is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Registered Nurse Manager to join our team as the Surgery Department Manager. Our company is a leading provider of healthcare solutions in Portsmouth, NH and we are looking for a dynamic individual to oversee our surgery department and ensure the highest level of patient care. As the Surgery Department Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the surgery department, including overseeing a team of nurses and support staff. You will work closely with the Director of Nursing to develop and implement policies and procedures, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and maintain a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and a current RN license in the state of New Hampshire. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a surgical setting and previous management experience is required. Strong leadership skills, excellent communication and organizational abilities, and a passion for providing exceptional patient care are essential for success in this role. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee the daily operations of the surgery department, including staffing, scheduling, and budget management. - Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, including HIPAA, OSHA, and state and federal guidelines. - Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff. - Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives. - Provide leadership and support to the surgical nursing staff, including training, mentoring, and performance evaluations. - Maintain open communication with physicians, staff, and patients to ensure a positive and collaborative work environment. - Participate in the recruitment and hiring of new staff members. - Handle any patient or staff concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner. - Stay current on industry trends and advancements in surgical procedures and technology.
