Summary
As a Senior Paraplanner you will support Australian financial advisers by preparing compliant Statements of Advice (SOAs) and Records of Advice (ROAs) based on adviser recommendations. You will conduct in-depth research to identify suitable financial products and develop tailored strategies for superannuation, insurance, investments, and retirement planning.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and draft Statements of Advice (SOAs) and Records of Advice (ROAs) based on adviser recommendations.
- Ensure all advice complies with Australian financial regulations (e.g., ASIC guidelines).
- Conduct research to identify appropriate financial products and solutions for clients.
- Assist in developing tailored financial strategies to meet clients' goals.
- Provide recommendations for superannuation, insurance, investments, and retirement planning.
- Maintain client correspondence templates
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Perform quality checks on documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain credit correspondence documents
- Update and maintain client files in CRM systems (e.g., Xplan, AdviserLogic, or similar platforms).
- Liaise with product providers for policy information, fund performance, and other client-specific data
- Work closely with Australian financial advisers and the broader advice team to meet deadlines.
- Participate in virtual meetings and provide progress updates on tasks.
- Willingness to work autonomously but as part of a team based in Australia.
Required Experience:
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of paraplanning experience, preferably within an Australian financial planning context.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of financial planning processes, including superannuation, investments, personal insurance, and retirement planning.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Australian financial services regulations, including ASIC and FOFA requirements.
- Systems: Proficiency in financial planning software (e.g., Xplan, AdviserLogic) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Education: Relevant qualifications in financial planning, accounting, or a related field (e.g., Diploma of Financial Planning or equivalent).
- Must be RG146 compliant
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Reliable and able to meet deadlines
- Able to follow business processes and procedures and the financial advice standards prescribed by the licensee of the business
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal English skills to effectively collaborate with onshore teams.
- Training Participate in external and internal training as required
- Leadership Provide training, mentoring and support to other team members for paraplanning to achieve efficiencies with workflow
- Promote referrals of new clients
