Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Corporate Insolvency Accountant with a focus on small business restructuring to join our team. The ideal candidate will leverage their existing skills to work closely with clients, creditors, colleagues, and internal staff across various aspects of specialist insolvency accounting. This role requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and a strong background in accounting and insolvency.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive investigations into an entities finances, including the analysis of financial statements, accounting records, and company books.
- Maintain and advance client files with precision, ensuring all documentation and records are up-to-date.
- Prepare formal correspondence to stakeholders, including creditors, financiers, shareholders, and third parties, ensuring clarity and compliance.
- Address stakeholder inquiries promptly and professionally, both over the telephone and in writing.
- Coordinate with legal representatives through telephone and written communication to facilitate effective resolution of issues and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
Skills and Experience:
- Ideally 1-3 years of accounting experience in insolvency, audit, or business services, with a focus on small business restructuring.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MYOB, and Xero.
- Willingness to undertake further studies to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
- Valid passport for potential travel requirements.
