As a Bookkeeping Officer and Administrative Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records. Your responsibilities will include general bookkeeping, data entry, coding, and providing administrative support to our clients and internal operations. Additionally, you will be responsible for email communication and conducting research as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping:

1. Perform data entry tasks to record financial transactions accurately.

2. Code and categorize financial transactions for clients.

3. Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts.

4. Assist in the management of accounts payable and accounts receivable.

5. Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records.

Administration:

1. Assist in general administrative tasks for the business.

2. Manage and respond to client inquiries via email and phone.

3. Schedule appointments, meetings, and client consultations.

4. Maintain and organize physical and digital files.

5. Assist in the preparation of client contracts and invoices.

6. Coordinate with team members to ensure efficient workflow.

Research and Communication:

1. Gather information and data for special projects as assigned.

2. Draft and edit professional business emails and communications

Qualifications:

  • Must be degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of bookkeeping experience, preferably within an Australian context.
  • Proficiency in using Xero, QBO, and MYOB accounting software is mandatory.
  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
  • High level of initiative with the ability to suggest process improvements.
  • Exceptional work ethic and client focus.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work within deadlines.
  • Assertive and consultative communication style.
  • Ability to work comfortably within a team and independently.
