Job Overview: 

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager Accounts to manage accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, compliance, and day-to-day finance activities. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial records, support internal controls, and coordinate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, schedules, and other accounting reports.
  • Manage general ledger activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing activities.
  • Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, payments, receipts, and outstanding balances.
  • Perform regular bank, vendor, customer, and other account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, company policies, tax requirements, and statutory regulations.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and variance analysis as required.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of accounting transactions.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external consultants/contractors regarding accounting and financial matters.
  • Support internal and external audit activities by providing required schedules, documents, and financial information.
  • Monitor internal controls and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency.
  • Review financial data and identify discrepancies, unusual transactions, or areas requiring corrective action.
  • Support the Finance Manager/Senior Finance Management in preparing financial information for decision-making.
  • Guide and support junior accounts staff, delegate tasks effectively, and ensure timely completion of assigned responsibilities.
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial information at all times.

Qualification & Experience: 

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
  • 4–6 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
  • Experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, general ledger, taxation, audit coordination, and accounting operations is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or team coordination capacity will be an advantage.
