JOB DESCRIPTION

1. OBJECTIVE

The Senior Mobile Developer would be responsible to design, develop, integrate, maintain, and enhance software applications and information/data flows on mobile and handheld devices. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering secure, reliable, scalable, and high-performance mobile solutions and will provide technical guidance to junior developers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance Android applications and modules supporting and projects.
• Take primary ownership of Android application architecture, development, maintenance, and performance optimization.
• Develop and maintain iOS applications and provide support when required.
• Translate business and technical requirements into reliable mobile solutions.
• Integrate mobile applications with backend systems, REST APIs, databases, and other enterprise services.
• Develop applications supporting offline operation, data synchronization, caching, and intermittent network connectivity where required.
• Ensure applications perform reliably across different devices, screen sizes, and supported operating system versions.
• Hands-on experience integrating mobile applications with device hardware and sensors, including:
  • Barcode and QR Code scanning/generation, Biometric authentication – fingerprint, Face ID/Touch ID, Android Biometric API,GPS and
  • Location Services, Facial Recognition / Face Verification, Camera and image capture, Bluetooth/BLE and other device integrations where required, Handheld, rugged, scanning, or field devices

• Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin, Android SDK, Android Studio, Jetpack, and modern Android development.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose, MVVM/Clean Architecture, Kotlin 
• Coroutines/Flow, Room, Retrofit/Ok Http, and dependency injection is highly desirable.

• Ability to maintain and enhance existing Android applications, including applications developed using Java.
• Strong understanding of Android application lifecycle, permissions, background processing, local storage, networking, and performance optimization.
• Practical experience with Swift, SwiftUI and/or UIKit, Xcode, and iOS SDK.
• Perform unit, integration, UI, functional, regression, performance, and device compatibility testing. Develop automated tests using appropriate Android/iOS testing frameworks.
• Diagnose and resolve application crashes, ANRs, memory leaks, performance issues, API failures, synchronization problems, and device-specific issues. Use debugging, profiling, crash reporting, and monitoring tools to identify and resolve production issues.
• Ensure applications meet defined quality, security, and performance standards. Apply secure mobile application development practices.
• Follow relevant OWASP Mobile Security principles and organizational security standards.
• Use Git and established branching, pull-request, code-review, and release-management practices. Participate in CI/CD processes for automated builds, testing, and deployment. Manage Android and iOS application builds and releases.
• Prepare and publish applications with & without Google Play Store and Apple App Store , must have experience with firebase.
• Document application architecture, technical design, data flow, APIs, configurations, deployment procedures, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Work effectively with backend developers, QA engineers, UI/UX teams, business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders.
• Perform any other technical or project-related duties assigned by the reporting manager.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in mobile application development.
• Strong professional experience in Android development.
• Practical experience developing and maintaining iOS applications.
• Strong experience with Kotlin and Android SDK.
• Strong knowledge of Java for Android application maintenance.
• Experience with Swift and iOS SDK would be a plus.
• Strong experience integrating REST APIs and backend services.
• Experience with mobile hardware/device integration.
• Experience with Barcode, QR Code, Biometric, GPS, Camera, and Facial Recognition/Verification technologies.
• Experience with modern mobile testing, debugging, profiling, and performance optimization and experience with Git/version control and CI/CD.
• Strong technical documentation and software architecture skills.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information
  Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in mobile application
  development.
• Strong professional experience in Android development.
• Practical experience developing and maintaining iOS applications.
• Strong experience with Kotlin and Android SDK.
• Strong knowledge of Java for Android application maintenance.
• Experience with Swift and iOS SDK would be a plus.
• Strong experience integrating REST APIs and backend services.
• Experience with mobile hardware/device integration.
• Experience with Barcode, QR Code, Biometric, GPS, Camera, and Facial
  Recognition/Verification technologies.
• Experience with modern mobile testing, debugging, profiling, and performance

Security & Monitoring:

OWASP Mobile Security, encryption, secure storage, Firebase Crashlytics/Sentry or equivalent.
