Overview:
The Accounts Executive will handle end-to-end accounting tasks, including invoice processing, reconciliations, tax compliance, and preparation of MIS reports. The role involves tracking project costs, preparing client bills, and ensuring accurate documentation for audits and financial closures. Coordination with site teams, vendors, clients, and banks is essential for smooth financial operations.
Job Description:
- Process vendor invoices, GRNs, subcontractor bills, and supplier payments.
- Verify quantity, rates, and approvals with site and procurement teams.
- Prepare client invoices (R.A. Bills/Progress Bills) as per contract terms.
- Follow up on outstanding payments from clients.
- Track project expenses against approved budgets.
- Maintain cost sheets for materials, labour, subcontracting, and machinery.
- Assist in preparing project-wise profitability reports.
- Reconcile vendor statements, bank accounts, and petty cash.
- Verify site expense reports and submit for approval.
- Ensure accurate reconciliation of GST/Tax input credits.
- Maintain ledgers, journals, vouchers, and other accounting records.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
- Prepare MIS reports, cash flow statements, and expense summaries.
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, withholding taxes, and statutory requirements.
- Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
- Support the finance manager in budgeting and cash flow planning.
- Liaise with banks for payment processing, BG/LC documentation, or statements.
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor's/Master's in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2-4 Years of relevant Experience.
- MS Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic formulas).
- QuickBooks proficiency.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable/receivable.
- Understanding of construction cost accounting.
- Experience with subcontractor billing and R.A. bills.
- Proficiency in GST and statutory compliance.
