We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled IT Officer with 2 to 4 years of experience in the banking sector to join our dynamic IT team. This role focuses on supporting, maintaining, and optimizing IT infrastructure, ensuring secure and uninterrupted banking operations. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of banking IT systems, security protocols, and enterprise IT management tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain LAN/WAN, firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless networks.

  • Monitor network performance and address connectivity or security issues promptly.

  • Implement IT/network policies and ensure compliance with organizational standards.

  • Deploy updates using WSUS and manage centralized software distribution with SCCM.

  • Configure and administer Microsoft Intune for endpoint and mobile device management.

  • Automate laptop/desktop setup, configuration, and deployment.

  • Install and manage Windows Server roles such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, etc.

  • Conduct system backups and implement disaster recovery plans.

  • Assess departmental hardware/software needs and manage procurement.

  • Evaluate vendor proposals and manage purchase and installation of IT assets (e.g., servers, switches, firewalls, laptops).

  • Maintain IT inventory, documentation, and network/system diagrams.

  • Generate technical and compliance reports for IT systems and procurements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in IT/network/system administration, preferably in the banking sector.

  • Proficient in Windows Server OS, WSUS, SCCM, and Microsoft Intune.

  • Experience with configuring and managing network devices (Cisco, HP, etc.).

  • Familiarity with IT procurement and vendor coordination.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of banking security protocols (e.g., encryption, MFA, endpoint protection).

  • Understanding of compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, PCI-DSS).

  • Experience with cloud platforms and technologies (Azure, Office 365).

  • Certifications such as CCNA, MCSA/MCSE, or Microsoft Endpoint Manager are a plus.
