About the job Network Engineer
Essential Duties and Role Responsibilities (includes but not limited to)
- Maintain excellent communication with all end users and other members of the technology department.
- Responsible for remote access network solution between Company and customer network, including providing the connectivity proposal, connectivity explanation and implementation, including supporting the connectivity reachability and stability for the all life cycle of the remote access project
- Responsible for the daily switch port and firewall policy requirement, network health check, emergency planning, and drills
- Maintain Documentation of network related, such as IP address list, CMDB, and also connectivity information for each remote access project
- Maintain accurate inventory of all hardware and software resources and parts.
- Identify and effectively prioritize situations requiring urgent attention.
- Track and route problems and requests and document resolutions.
- Desktop Support Engineer to provide technical assistance to our clients. You will help install, upgrade and troubleshoot hardware and software systems.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines
- For L1/L2 engineer, at least 3~5 years of experience in Network administration.
Knowledge & Skills
- Has good communication skills. Be able to independently track problem progress, provide solutions, and handle customer complaints.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical people.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Expert knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, or Company equipment and technologies
- Possess the ability to quickly identify, diagnose, and provide solutions to complex problems, requirements, and integration of various technologies.
- Expert knowledge of layer 2 and layer 3 technologies with a focus on network equipment, specifically routers, switches, firewalls
- Detailed knowledge and experience with Open Short Path First (OSPF) and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), MPLS and IPSEC
- Functions as the expert in networking experience as well as LAN/WAN optimization experience.
- Resolve hardware, operational, infrastructure, and application incidents within our data center switch and routing infrastructure.
Provide regular status reports on tasks accomplished, current issues and progress toward goals
