Deputy Manager Production

Summary :

Supports the Production Manager in planning and executing daily manufacturing operations, including shift scheduling, raw material allocation, and line setups. Ensures production quality, adherence to SOPs, and achievement of KPIs such as yield, scrap, and machine uptime. Supervises shift teams, coordinates with Maintenance and QC, and drives continuous improvement across extrusion, compounding, or masterbatch operations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and executing day-to-day production operations, including shift scheduling, manpower allocation, and line setups.
• Monitor raw material usage, optimise consumption, and ensure availability according to production plans.
• Ensure all production activities comply with SOPs, safety standards, and quality specifications.
• Track and improve KPIs: yield, scrap rate, machine uptime, and production efficiency.
• Supervise shift supervisors and machine operators to ensure smooth workflow and timely output.
• Coordinate closely with Maintenance and QC teams for timely equipment servicing and quality control.
• Identify areas for process optimisation and lead continuous improvement projects.
• Support in troubleshooting production issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Maintain production reports, shift logs, and documentation for audits and management review.

Qualifications & Experience 

• Bachelor's in B.E. (Polymer Engineering)
•  5 -10 years of experience in extrusion, compounding, or masterbatch production operations
• Strong understanding of polymer processing, extrusion machinery, and production workflows
• Good leadership, communication, and team-handling skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines
