IP Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• To understand the OSI reference model and to master the basic principles of TCP/IP protocol.
• To master the Ethernet/layer2 switching/VLAN principle/Spanning Tree/Bridge Domain/VXLAN
• To master the mainstream WAN link (PPP/POS and so on), the working mode and the application scene.
• To master the principle of OSPF/ISIS/BGP, the high-level characteristics and the complex application scene, to master the route import, the route policy principle and application scene.
• To understand MPLS L3VPN, VPLS/VLL/CCC L2VPN, MPLS TE/Multicast/QoS very well.
• Understand Datacenter technologies, MLAG/EVPN & SRv6 technologies.
• The understanding of basic protocol of network management, to master the basic principle of SNMP and the network management operating system and the common database commands.
• To understand the basic network security knowledge of the firewall working principle. IPSEC ACLs, firewall policies, and VPN configurations.
• To master the basic theory about the high availability (HA) designs, and to understand typical technologies (BFD/GR/FRR/FC) principles.
• Equipment characteristic, the essential performance index, the card type and common network of several typical Datacom equipment (Router/Switch/Firewall) /Cisco/Juniper/Fortinet/Nokia

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in telecom or service provider network operations.

• Strong knowledge of P, PE, and RR router architectures.

• Hands-on experience with Ethernet, VLANs, WAN links, and routing policies.
• Familiarity with HA, network security, and performance optimisation.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
