Job Overview:
The Assistant Manager – Business Development is responsible for driving sales growth and developing new customers in the masterbatch and polymer fillers segment. The role involves understanding customer applications, promoting suitable product solutions, maintaining long-term relationships, and achieving assigned sales and recovery targets. This position requires a balance of technical knowledge, commercial acumen, and strong relationship management skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop new customers and drive sales of masterbatch colors and fillers.
- Conduct customer visits to understand application needs and promote suitable product solutions.
- Maintain and strengthen client relationships to ensure repeat business.
- Achieve assigned sales targets and manage recovery/collections.
- Support technical discussions, product trials, and approvals with internal teams (QC, R&D, Production).
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and identify new business opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Graduate degree, preferably in Polymer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or MBA.
- Experience: 3–5 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in plastics, polymers, or chemical industries.
- Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and customer relationship skills. Target-driven, self-motivated, and technically knowledgeable.
