Job Title: Nutrition Counselor & Nutrition Community Screener

Minimum Requirements & Qualification:
Nutrition Counsellor:
TASKs to be Performed
- Provide Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF), Growth Monitoring Promotion and maternal nutrition Counselling to all mothers with SAM/MAM children
- Raise Nutrition education to pregnant and lactating mothers of children receiving nutrition services.
- Promote hygiene best practices through group discussion at ZP and RC
- Provide nutrition and psychosocial support to the mothers and caregivers at ZP and RC
- Provide regular health and nutrition education to the mothers and caregivers
- Provide specific counselling to the mothers of SAM children aged 6-69months on complementary feeding.
- Promote maternal nutrition among PLWs by regular MIYCN counselling DELIVERABLE(s)
Requirements
- Graduated from Nursing/ Midwifery/ or any other medical institute.
- Having at least 1-2years working experience in nutrition program (OPD SAM/MAM and GMP).
- Received IMAM and MIYCN training.
- Have good communication skill both Pashto and Dari
- Should be local staff from the same province.
- Female should have Maharam.
Nutrition Community Screener:
TASKs to be Performed
- Develop community mapping in close coordination with CHS across the HFs catchment area.
- Regular outreach plan approved and signed by the HF director.
- Daily community outreach to promote screening session.
- Do regular day to day screening of under five children to assess their nutrition status using MUAC taps.
- Register all screened children and report to the HFs and office.
- Perform other tasks and responsibilities as discussed with his/her supervisor deemed necessary for the implementation of the program.
Requirements
- Having at least 1-2years working experience in nutrition screening program.
- Received nutrition training (screening/IMAM)
- Have good communication skill both Pashto and Dari
- Must be local staff from the same province.
- Ability to work with the community.
