Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hotel General Manager to lead the launch and operations of a new hotel in Kimberley. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing the entire hotel team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, and driving profitability. A strong background in finance, hospitality management, and leadership is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Recruitment & Development: Build a high-performing team across all departments, including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, and finance.
  • Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cost control to ensure profitability and financial stability.
  • Operational Leadership: Ensure seamless daily operations by implementing and maintaining high service standards and operational procedures.
  • Guest Experience: Uphold a superior guest experience by fostering a culture of excellence in customer service and hospitality.
  • Sales & Marketing: Develop and execute strategies to increase occupancy, revenue, and brand awareness through various marketing channels.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with all local regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
  • Vendor & Stakeholder Relations: Manage relationships with suppliers, service providers, and key stakeholders to optimize hotel operations.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Hotel General Manager or in a senior leadership role in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong financial acumen with expertise in budgeting, financial analysis, and revenue management.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams effectively.
  • Deep understanding of hotel operations, customer service excellence, and industry best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or Finance preferred.
