WordPress Developer

We are looking for an experienced and passionate WordPress Developer to join our team in our office in Durbanville. As WordPress Developer at our company, you will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development. As well as Maintenance on existing sites. You will need a strong understanding of the latest industry trends and popular WordPress plugins.

Website design skills and experience will be to your advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Designing and developing website architecture as well as building new features and functionalities.
• Building and implementing new themes and plugins.
• Building the website front-end and conducting website performance tests.
• Analyzing website performance and troubleshooting errors.
• Handling the backend of the website, including database and server integration.
• Ensuring high performance and managing all the technical aspects of the CMS.
• Maintain well-documented and reusable layouts and wireframes.

Requirements:

• High level of WordPress proficiency.
• Ability to customise templates in line with client needs.
• Ability to problem solve and find innovative solutions within the WordPress environment.
• Previous experience with implementing members' areas with different levels of access will be adventitious.
• Ability to work independently and reach pre-set deadlines for specific aspects of a project.
• A qualification in computer science, information technology, or engineering.
• At least 3-5+ years of experience working as a WordPress developer
• Basic knowledge of multiple front-end languages (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) and their libraries.
• Experience working with debugging tools.
• Ability to handle and manage projects.
• Reliable transport and the ability to commute daily
• Candidates residing close to or in the area will receive preference.

Monday - Friday in the office is required. Please ensure all documentation and a portfolio of your work accompanies your application for it to be successful.

Please note that you need your own transport, have a valid passport and be able to travel. You must live within a max 20km radius of the office in Durbanville. To be considered for this role, you must have the right to work in SA.
