Our Client is a distinguished inbound luxury Destination Management Company (DMC) based in Heidelberg, Gauteng. Specialising in crafting exceptional experiences for discerning travellers from around the world with our main focus in the North America market. Our team takes pride in curating bespoke journeys through Southern & East Africa that leave lasting impressions. We are seeking an experienced Inbound Tour Consultant with a minimum of 3 years experience working in the luxury inbound travel market as a consultant.

Role Description

This is a full-time role for an Inbound Tour Consultant with experience in the luxury market. In this role, you will be responsible for providing outstanding inbound travel services to our clients, including itinerary planning, creating and managing bookings, and providing accurate travel documentation & information. You will also maintain relationships with suppliers and handle any issues that may arise while clients are travelling.

Responsibilities

· Planning, quoting and designing journeys throughout Southern and East Africa timeously and accurately

· Managing all aspects of tours from quoting through to post tour file closure

· Ensuring your in-country guest tours run smoothly and without error

· Being on call for your in-country guests after hours while they are travelling

· Tour administration to be maintained and accurate

· Booking all services for your tours

· Coordinating all invoicing / payments for your tours with accounts

· Reconfirmation of all services prior to travel

· Preparation of Travel documents

Qualifications & Skills

· Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a luxury inbound travel as a consultant

· Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with high-profile clients & agents

· Knowledge of luxury travel destinations, accommodations, and experiences in Southern and/or East Africa

· Excellent written and verbal command of the English language

· Proficiency in Tourplan is essential

· Proven ability to work effectively in a team and independently.

· Crisis management and problem-solving skills.

· Attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Ability to handle high volumes of work without compromising on accuracy

· Working with a sense of urgency and meeting deadlines
