About the job Maternity Cover Accountant
Our client in the Property Sector is looking to recruit a Temporary Accountant to join their large team. This role would be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements, analyzing budgets, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Key Duties Include:
- Maintain and reconcile financial records, including general ledger accounts, bank statements, and other financial documents.
- Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial insights to support strategic planning.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards
- Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, operations, and management, to provide financial guidance and support decision-making.
- Conduct financial audits to verify accuracy and integrity of financial transactions and records.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard financial assets and mitigate risk.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations, standards, and practices, and ensure adherence to best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Proven experience working in accounting or financial roles, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Property Experience Preferred
