Deputy Head of Strategy / Leading Private Equity Fund

About the Role

We are looking for a high-caliber Deputy Head of Strategy to join the strategy team of one of the largest and most dynamic private equity funds in the region. This role is designed for someone who combines strategic vision with the ability to deliver hands-on execution, working directly under the Head of Strategy and closely with investment and portfolio teams.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in identifying and driving value creation initiatives across the funds portfolio with a focus on TMT, IT, E-commerce, FMCG, and Financial Services sectors and will take ownership of analytical, strategic, and operational deep-dives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a strategic thought partner to the Head of Strategy and portfolio company leadership
• Independently lead high-impact strategic initiatives: new growth opportunities, market expansion, cost optimization
• Conduct in-depth industry and competitive analysis to shape portfolio strategy
• Develop strategic frameworks, business cases, and actionable roadmaps and execute them hands-on
• Interface with deal teams on value creation planning during due diligence
• Play a key role in shaping IPO strategy and readiness for select portfolio companies
• Identify untapped value levers and operational improvements across the portfolio

Requirements:

• 5-8+ years of relevant experience in top-tier strategy consulting (McKinsey, BCG, Bain), investment, or an internal strategy/BD team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with practical, hands-on execution ability
• Proven track record of strategic thinking with business intuition and getting things done
• Self-starter: comfortable working without junior support, fully owning project delivery
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills able to work closely with C-level stakeholders
• Fluent English
