An investment firm is seeking an experienced Vice President to strengthen its M&A practice with a focus on metals & mining (M&M) transactions across the CIS and Middle East regions. This is a senior client-facing role with responsibility for end-to-end deal execution, leadership of transaction teams, and strategic guidance throughout the M&A process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the execution of M&A transactions on behalf of clients including due diligence coordination, financial modeling, negotiation support, documentation, and closing.
  • Work on cross-border deals in the CIS and Middle East, primarily in the metals & mining and real-sector industries.
  • Manage client relationships at senior levels, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the transaction process.
  • Supervise and coach teams of analysts and associates, ensuring high-quality deliverables and smooth project execution.
  • Conduct in-depth industry, market, and financial analysis to support deal structuring and client recommendations.
  • Collaborate with partners and directors on business development and pitch preparation.
  • Ensure all processes comply with regulatory and legal standards.

Profile:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in M&A advisory / investment banking /  PE / In-house M&A.
  • Strong exposure to buy-side and/or sell-side mandates.
  • Exposure to project finance is a plus.
  • Strong project management and client communication skills; ability to manage multiple stakeholders and tight timelines.
  • Fluent in Russian and English.
  • Excellent financial, analytical, and negotiation skills.
