Summary
As a Senior Associate, you will be involved in the evaluation, structuring, and execution of investment and M&A transactions within an Investment Firm. The role combines investment analysis, financial modelling, valuation, transaction structuring, due diligence, and execution across a broad range of investment opportunities and transaction types. You will work closely with senior investment professionals, clients, investors, financial institutions, legal advisors, and other transaction stakeholders throughout the investment and transaction process.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct financial and investment analysis of potential investment and M&A opportunities.
- Develop and review financial models, valuations, investment cases, and transaction analyses.
- Support the structuring and execution of M&A, equity investment, financing, and other investment transactions.
- Conduct company, market, industry, and competitive analysis as part of investment assessment.
- Coordinate and support financial, commercial, legal, and other due diligence processes.
- Prepare investment memoranda, presentations, financial analyses, transaction materials, and materials for investment committees.
- Review, coordinate, and maintain transaction documentation, including term sheets, indicative offers, confidentiality agreements, due diligence materials, transaction documentation, and other relevant documents.
- Work with legal, financial, tax, and other external advisors throughout transaction processes.
- Participate in negotiations and discussions with clients, investors, financial institutions, and transaction counterparties.
- Monitor transaction progress and coordinate multiple workstreams to ensure timely execution.
- Support the analysis and monitoring of existing investments and portfolio companies.
- Participate in the preparation of materials related to portfolio company performance and strategic initiatives.
- Support and review the work of Analysts and junior team members.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- CFA qualification or progress toward CFA is considered an advantage.
- 4–5+ years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, investment management, M&A, corporate finance, transaction advisory, or a related field.
- Strong financial modelling, valuation, and investment analysis skills.
- Experience in M&A, investment transactions, financing, or strategic advisory.
- Strong understanding of transaction processes, due diligence, and investment evaluation.
- Ability to work with complex financial and transaction documentation.
- Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage several workstreams simultaneously and work effectively in a fast-paced investment environment.
- Fluency in Russian and English is essential; additional languages are an advantage.
- Transaction list must be provided as part of the application, detailing relevant transactions and the candidate's role in each transaction.
