Summary

As a Vice President, you will take a leading role in the evaluation, structuring, and execution of investment and M&A transactions within an Investment Firm. You will independently manage key transaction workstreams and take responsibility for financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, structuring, negotiations, and execution. The role provides significant exposure to complex investment opportunities and cross-border transactions, requiring strong financial expertise, commercial judgment, and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders throughout the transaction lifecycle.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the analysis and execution of investment and M&A transactions from initial assessment through closing.
  • Develop investment cases, financial models, valuation analyses, transaction structures, and recommendations.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities and assess their financial, commercial, and strategic rationale.
  • Lead financial and commercial due diligence processes, coordinating internal and external advisors.
  • Develop and assess transaction structures, including equity investments, M&A, financing, and other investment solutions.
  • Manage relationships with clients, investors, financial institutions, advisors, and other transaction counterparties.
  • Lead negotiations on financial and commercial aspects of transactions.
  • Coordinate multiple transaction workstreams and ensure effective execution against agreed timelines.
  • Prepare investment memoranda, investment committee materials, transaction presentations, financial analyses, and senior management materials.
  • Lead the preparation, review, and coordination of transaction documentation, including term sheets, offers, due diligence materials, transaction agreements, financing documentation, and other relevant documents.
  • Work closely with legal, financial, tax, technical, and other external advisors throughout the transaction process.
  • Review and supervise the work of Associates and Analysts.
  • Support the monitoring and analysis of existing investments and portfolio companies.
  • Contribute to strategic analysis and performance reviews of portfolio companies.
  • Participate in the development of investment strategies and transaction approaches for specific opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • CFA qualification or progress toward CFA is considered an advantage.
  • 6–7+ years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, investment management, M&A, corporate finance, transaction advisory, or a related field.
  • Proven experience executing M&A, investment, financing, or other complex transactions.
  • Strong expertise in financial modelling, valuation, investment analysis, and transaction structuring.
  • Strong understanding of due diligence, transaction documentation, negotiations, and execution processes.
  • Experience independently managing transaction workstreams and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial judgment and ability to assess investment opportunities from financial and strategic perspectives.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to supervise and develop junior team members.
  • Fluency in Russian and English is essential; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Transaction list must be provided as part of the application, detailing relevant transactions and the candidate's role in each transaction.
