CFO, Tech Company

A fast-growing technology company is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead the finance function and support the company's next stage of growth.The CFO will be responsible for financial strategy, investment analysis, business performance management, corporate finance, and supporting key strategic decisions across the organization.

Mandatory requirement: strong hands-on experience with Kazakhstan accounting, taxation, statutory reporting, and financial compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the company's financial strategy, planning, and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with Kazakhstan accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, cash flow, liquidity, working capital, and capital allocation.
• Prepare and consolidate management and financial reporting for shareholders and senior leadership.
• Build and maintain financial models to support strategic and investment decisions.
• Evaluate business opportunities, investment projects, and growth initiatives, including DCF-based valuation models.
• Conduct investment analysis and prepare materials for management and shareholder decision-making.
• Drive cost optimization initiatives and improve operational efficiency across the business.
• Support fundraising, M&A activities, investment projects, and corporate development initiatives.
• Partner closely with executive leadership and present financial results and recommendations to shareholders, investors, and the Board.
  
  

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a CFO, Finance Director, or in a comparable senior finance leadership role.
• Strong practical knowledge of Kazakhstan accounting, taxation, statutory reporting, and financial regulations.
• Proven experience in leading, developing, and managing finance teams.
• Practical experience in business valuation and investment project assessment, including building and analyzing DCF models.
• Experience in investment analysis, financial modeling, and preparation of materials for investment decision-making.
• Deep understanding of corporate finance and financial management.
• Experience with budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, management reporting, and financial consolidation.
• Experience managing cash flow, liquidity, and working capital.
• Proven track record of cost optimization and business process improvement.
• Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with Big Four firms.
• Experience supporting M&A transactions, fundraising, or investment projects.
• Experience in high-growth technology, digital, SaaS, fintech, or investment-driven companies.
• Experience working directly with shareholders, boards of directors, and executive leadership teams.
