The Role:

We are seeking experienced Cybersecurity Engineers to manage and enhance the security of customer Microsoft Azure cloud environments. The ideal candidate will specialize in Microsoft Azure components such as Entra ID, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Cloud Apps, and Defender for Office. This role is pivotal in maintaining and improving our organizations Azure cloud security posture to protect against evolving cyber threats.

About the Job:

In this role, you will be responsible for the configuration, management, and enhancement of security measures for our Microsoft Azure environment. You should possess deep technical knowledge of Azure security tools including Entra ID, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Cloud Apps, and Defender for Office. The candidate will assess current security measures and recommend enhancements, implement security best practices, and respond to security incidents within Azure. Experience with cloud security frameworks, compliance requirements, and threat modeling specific to Azure is essential.

Operational Activities:

Continuously monitor and analyze the security of Azure components, identifying potential vulnerabilities and implementing corrective measures.

Develop and maintain security policies and procedures for Azure cloud services.

Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure secure deployment of applications within the Azure environment.

Responsibilities:

Manage and configure Entra ID, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Cloud Apps, and Defender for Office to ensure optimal security posture.

Implement and maintain access controls, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems within Azure.

Integrate with the SOC team managing Microsoft Sentinel.

Ensure integration and alignment within the DevOps CI/CD pipeline.

Provide expert guidance on Azure cloud security best practices to IT and development teams.

Stay current with the latest security threats, technologies, and Azure security enhancements.

Education:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.

Masters degree in Cybersecurity or related field is a plus.

Qualification and Skills:

Required previous experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years focused on Microsoft Azure security.

Certifications: Must possess relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate. CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), or CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) are preferred.

Strong understanding of cloud computing and security principles, including experience with Azure security services and features.

Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation of security tasks.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically about security.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex security issues to non-technical stakeholders.
