As a Logistic Coordinator you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient movement of goods, equipment, and supplies within the hotel. Your role will play a critical part in ensuring that all logistical operations run smoothly, contributing to the overall success of the hotel's operations and guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, ensuring that items are adequately stocked and replenished to support hotel operations.
- Collaborate with various departments to understand their inventory needs and optimize stock levels accordingly.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods while adhering to quality standards and negotiated terms.
- Facilitate communication between suppliers, internal departments, and management to resolve any logistical issues.
- Plan and organize the distribution of goods to different hotel departments based on their requirements and schedules.
- Ensure efficient allocation of resources to prevent delays and bottlenecks in operations.
- Assist in coordinating the logistics of events, conferences, and other hotel activities that require equipment, materials, or supplies.
- Collaborate with the events team to ensure seamless setup and breakdown of event spaces.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all logistical activities, including shipments, deliveries, and equipment movements.
- Generate regular reports to provide insights into logistical performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Inspect incoming goods to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications, escalating any issues as necessary.
- Coordinate with relevant teams to address any product discrepancies or defects.
- Assist in tracking logistical expenses and expenditures to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
- Contribute to cost-saving initiatives through efficient logistical practices.
- Ensure that all logistical activities follow health and safety regulations, including proper handling, storage, and transportation of goods.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional education or certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus).
- Previous experience in logistics coordination, preferably within the hospitality or related industry.
- Strong import and customs knowledge, with a track record of successfully managing import processes.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interactions with suppliers, internal teams, and management.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Detail-oriented mindset to ensure accuracy in documentation and record-keeping.
- Problem-solving skills to address logistical challenges and find practical solutions.
- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices in logistics coordination is advantageous.
