As the Assistant Food and Beverage Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our dining and beverage outlets. Working closely with the Food and Beverage Director, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, maintaining high-quality service standards, and fostering a positive guest experience. Your leadership, organizational skills, and passion for hospitality will contribute to the success of our food and beverage department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in recruiting, training, and managing a team of servers, bartenders, and support staff. Inspire and motivate the team to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of all food and beverage outlets, including restaurants, bars, and banquets. Monitor and manage reservations, table assignments, and guest flow.
- Maintain high service standards and promptly address guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints. Strive to exceed guest expectations.
- Assist in managing inventory levels, ordering supplies, and controlling costs. Monitor and track food and beverage stock to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
- Ensure food and beverage offerings consistently meet quality standards. Collaborate with the kitchen and bar teams to develop and refine menus.
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations, as well as hotel policies and procedures. Monitor and enforce responsible alcohol service practices.
- Assist in budgeting and financial forecasting. Work to achieve revenue and profit targets by maximizing sales and minimizing expenses.
- Support the planning and execution of special events, banquets, and catering functions, ensuring they run smoothly and meet guest expectations.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred but not mandatory, with relevant work experience being highly valued.
- Previous experience in Food and Beverage Management or a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Knowledge of food and beverage trends, industry best practices, and customer service principles.
- Proficiency in using restaurant management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
