About the job Wine Valet

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Assist guests in selecting wines based on their preferences and provide recommendations on wine pairings with their meals.
  2.  Properly open and serve wines, including decanting and pouring, ensuring correct temperatures and appropriate glassware.
  3. Maintain a well-organized wine cellar or storage area, monitor inventory levels, and collaborate with the purchasing department to replenish stock as needed.
  4. Inform guests about different varieties of wines and prices
  5. Advise wait staff on available wines
  6. Comply with all health and safety regulations

Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Ability to work under pressure of meeting production schedules and timelines for guests and fellow workers
  2. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment providing courteous service
  3. Previous experience working in hospitality industry preferred

Education and Experience Requirements:

  1. The flexibility to work shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  2. Strong communication and organizational skills.
  3. A high school diploma or equivalent.
