As the Kids Club Coordinator you will be the heart of our family-friendly environment, responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and entertaining space for young guests. Your role involves planning and facilitating a variety of activities, games, and experiences that will make their stay memorable and enjoyable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a diverse schedule of age-appropriate activities, crafts, games, and educational experiences for children.
- Create a well-rounded program that caters to different interests, fostering creativity, physical activity, and social interaction.
- Greet families warmly and provide information about the Kids Club offerings and schedule.
- Build rapport with children and parents to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children in the Kids Club area, adhering to established protocols.
- Monitor activities to prevent accidents, address any concerns, and maintain a secure environment.
- Work with other Kids Club staff to coordinate activities, share ideas, and provide support during busy periods.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to integrate Kids Club activities into the overall guest experience.
- Infuse creativity into the activities, adapting to seasonal themes and trends that capture children's imagination.
- Keep children engaged through storytelling, games, interactive play, and hands-on experiences.
- Maintain open communication with parents, providing updates on their children's activities and well-being.
- Address any specific needs or requests to ensure a positive experience for both children and parents.
- Keep the Kids Club area organized, clean, and stocked with necessary supplies for activities.
- Report any maintenance or equipment issues to the appropriate department.
- Keep accurate records of attendance, activities, and feedback to assess the effectiveness of the Kids Club program.
- Provide reports to management on Kids Club performance and recommendations for improvements.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent (relevant certification in child care, education, or recreation is a plus).
- Previous experience working with children in a camp, daycare, or recreational setting.
- Enthusiasm for interacting with children, creating a positive and welcoming environment.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Strong organizational abilities to plan and manage a diverse activity schedule.
- Creativity to design engaging and entertaining activities for children of different ages.
- Patience and adaptability to work with children of varying backgrounds and temperaments.
- Basic first aid and CPR certification is advantageous.
- Ability to prioritize safety and maintain a child-friendly environment.
- Team-player attitude and ability to collaborate with colleagues from different departments.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
