As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the housekeeping team to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Your exceptional leadership skills and attention to detail will be instrumental in creating a comfortable and welcoming environment for our guests. You will play a crucial role in training and motivating the housekeeping staff, ensuring efficient operations, and upholding the hotel's reputation for exceptional hospitality.

Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise, train, and mentor the housekeeping team, setting clear performance expectations and providing constructive feedback. 
  2. Create work schedules, assign tasks, and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet operational needs.
  3. Conduct regular performance evaluations and recognize outstanding achievements.
  4. Oversee the inspection of guest rooms to ensure they are cleaned to the established standards before check-in.
  5. Ensure all amenities are replenished, and the room is presented impeccably.
  6. Supervise the cleaning and maintenance of public spaces, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, and lounges.
  7. Monitor the cleanliness of these areas and take corrective actions when necessary.
  8. Coordinate the collection and distribution of used linens and towels for laundry, and maintain appropriate inventories of clean linen in designated storage areas.
  9. Conduct regular training sessions for housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and guest service etiquette.
  10. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages skill development and teamwork.
  11. Interact with guests in a courteous and professional manner, responding to their inquiries and addressing any concerns promptly and effectively.
  12. Report maintenance issues, damages, and any other relevant information to the appropriate departments or management promptly.
  13. Maintain clear and open communication with other hotel departments to ensure seamless coordination and guest satisfaction.
  14. Perform periodic inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure adherence to established standards.
  15. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to maintain a pristine environment.
  16. Ensure that all housekeeping staff follow safety protocols and adhere to hotel policies and procedures.
  17. Promote a safe working environment and address any safety concerns promptly.

Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in hospitality management is a plus.
  2. Proven experience in housekeeping or a related field, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory role.
  3. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  4. Strong organizational and time-management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively.
  5. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemical handling for safe and efficient operations.
  6. Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  7. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet operational demands.
