Position: Accounting Clerk
Princess Hotels & Resorts Jamaica is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team. As a leading hospitality company, we are dedicated to providing exceptional service to our guests and creating a positive work environment for our employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and record accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Prepare and distribute financial reports to management
- Assist with budget preparation and monitoring
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Communicate with vendors and clients to resolve any billing or payment discrepancies
- Provide support to other departments as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with accounting software (e.g. Quickbooks, Sage) preferred
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
