About the job Order Taker (Room Service)
Job Responsibilities:
- Taking Orders: Receive orders from hotel guests for room service or dining in the hotel's restaurant.
- Menu Knowledge: Familiarize yourself with the hotel's menus, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and beverage options.
- Communication: Liaise with the kitchen and restaurant staff to relay orders, modifications, and any guest preferences.
- Timely Delivery: Coordinate with the kitchen and room service team to ensure orders are prepared and delivered promptly.
- Customer Service: Provide friendly and professional service, addressing any questions or concerns from guests.
- Order Tracking: Maintain records of orders and their status, ensuring all orders are fulfilled correctly.
- Compliance: Follow health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to work under pressure of meeting production schedules and timelines for guests and fellow workers
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment providing courteous service
- Previous experience working in hospitality industry preferred
Education and Experience Requirements:
- The flexibility to work shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
