About the job Assistant Entertainment Manager

The Assistant Entertainment Manager works closely with the Entertainment Manager to coordinate and execute a variety of entertainment offerings that enhance the hotel's overall guest satisfaction and reputation.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the Entertainment Manager to develop a comprehensive entertainment program that aligns with the hotel's brand and target audience. 
  2. Identify and select suitable entertainment options, such as live performances, DJs, themed events, and recreational activities.

  3.  Recruit, train, and supervise a team of entertainment staff, including performers, musicians, DJs, and activity coordinators. 
  4.  Plan and execute entertainment events, including shows, concerts, parties, and themed evenings. 
  5. Interact with guests and actively seek feedback to gauge satisfaction and preferences. Use guest feedback to enhance entertainment offerings and tailor experiences to meet guest expectations.
  6. Collaborate with the Marketing team to promote entertainment events and activities through various channels, including the hotel's website, social media, and in-house communication platforms.
  7. Oversee the maintenance and inventory control of entertainment-related equipment, such as audiovisual systems, musical instruments, props, and costumes. 
  8. Stay updated with industry trends, emerging entertainment concepts, and guest preferences. Continuously seek ways to innovate and enhance entertainment offerings, incorporating new technologies and experiences.

Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent. A degree or certification in Hospitality Management, Event Management, or a related field is an advantage.

  2. Previous experience (typically 2+ years) in entertainment or event coordination, preferably within the hospitality or entertainment industry.

  3. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.

  4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with performers, staff, and guests.

  5. Creativity and a passion for delivering unique and memorable entertainment experiences.

  6. Knowledge of entertainment production and technical requirements, including audiovisual systems, lighting, and stage setups.

  7. Proficiency in using entertainment-related software and tools.

  8. Strong leadership abilities to motivate and inspire a team.

  9. Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the demands of the entertainment schedule.

  10. Familiarity with health and safety regulations pertaining to entertainment activities.

  11. Knowledge of local entertainment resources and talent networks is an advantage.
