About the job Room Attendant
As a Room Attendant you will play a key role in maintaining a clean, comfortable, and inviting environment for our guests. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the cleanliness and presentation of guest rooms and suites, ensuring that every guest enjoys a pleasant and memorable stay.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and tidy guest rooms and suites daily, adhering to the hotel's established cleaning procedures and standards.
- Make beds, change linens, and replace towels to maintain a fresh and comfortable ambiance.
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and decorative items to present a well-maintained appearance.
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize bathrooms, including sinks, countertops, toilets, showers, and bathtubs.
- Restock toiletries and amenities to ensure guests have everything they need for a comfortable stay.
- Replenish guest room supplies such as drinking glasses, coffee/tea, and stationery.
- Ensure that in-room amenities (e.g., mini-bar items, snacks) are correctly stocked and charged as needed.
- Report any lost items found in guest rooms to the housekeeping supervisor or management.
- Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards in guest rooms to the appropriate department for prompt resolution.
- Assist with periodic room inspections to ensure adherence to cleanliness and quality standards.
- Provide a friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with guests in their rooms.
- Respond to guest requests and inquiries promptly, ensuring their needs are met efficiently.
- Collaborate with other members of the housekeeping team and hotel staff to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
- Follow all hotel safety and security procedures to maintain a safe environment for guests and staff.
- Adhere to the hotel's policies and standards, including those related to cleanliness, hygiene, and appearance.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field is an advantage but not mandatory; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and appropriate use of cleaning chemicals is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for cleanliness and presentation.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting and bending.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly disposition to interact with guests and team members.
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
