As a Lifeguard Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our guests at the swimming and recreational areas. You will be responsible for leading a team of lifeguards, coordinating their activities, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all guests. Your leadership and strong communication skills will be essential in preventing accidents and responding effectively to any emergencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of lifeguards, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Schedule lifeguard shifts to ensure adequate coverage during operating hours.
- Foster a positive team environment that emphasizes safety, professionalism, and exceptional guest service.
- Enforce all safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure guest well-being.
- Monitor pool areas and other designated water facilities to identify potential hazards or risky behavior.
- Coordinate regular emergency drills and ensure that lifeguards are well-prepared to respond to any incidents effectively.
- Take charge in emergency situations, provide first aid and CPR as necessary, and follow established protocols for escalating emergencies to higher management or medical professionals.
- Greet and interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, answering questions and providing information about pool and recreational facilities.
- Address guest concerns or inquiries promptly and appropriately, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Ensure that pool equipment and safety devices (e.g., rescue tubes, first aid kits, AED) are in proper working condition and readily accessible for lifeguards.
- Provide ongoing training to lifeguards on safety procedures, emergency response protocols, and customer service skills.
- Verify and maintain lifeguard certifications and licenses in accordance with local regulations and hotel policies.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, accidents, and any interventions, completing incident reports as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
- Current lifeguard certification, CPR certification, and first aid certification required.
- Previous lifeguard experience with a proven track record of leadership and responsibility.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions during emergencies.
- Basic computer skills for record keeping and communication purposes.
- Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods, perform rescues, and provide first aid when necessary.
