As a Warehouse Attendant you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient handling, storage, and distribution of goods and supplies necessary for the hotel's operations. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to maintaining an organized inventory will contribute to the smooth functioning of the hotel's logistical processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming deliveries, verifying their accuracy, quantity, and quality against purchase orders.
- Inspect items for any damage or discrepancies and report issues to the appropriate department.
- Organize, label, and store items in the warehouse, ensuring proper categorization for easy retrieval.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock counts, and report shortages or excesses to the purchasing team.
- Prepare items for distribution to various hotel departments according to requisitions and delivery schedules.
- Safely and accurately deliver goods to designated locations within the hotel.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory movement, deliveries, and stock levels.
- Update inventory management systems and paperwork as needed.
- Ensure that items are stored in appropriate conditions to prevent damage, spoilage, or deterioration.
- Report any product defects or quality issues to the relevant teams.
- Keep the warehouse area clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Maintain and perform basic maintenance on warehouse equipment as needed.
- Coordinate with various departments to understand their inventory needs and ensure timely delivery of items.
- Communicate with colleagues and supervisors to address any logistical concerns.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when handling, storing, and transporting items.
- Use proper lifting techniques and personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Effective communication skills for interactions with colleagues and other departments.
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift, carry, and move heavy items.
- Basic knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
- Team-player attitude and willingness to collaborate.
- Dependability and a strong work ethic.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Familiarity with hospitality industry operations is advantageous.
