The Hotel Painter is responsible for enhancing the aesthetic appeal and maintaining the overall visual presentation of the hotel's interior and exterior spaces through skilled painting techniques. This role contributes to creating a pleasant and inviting atmosphere for guests and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming to ensure proper adhesion of paint.
  2. Fill cracks, holes, and imperfections in walls and ceilings to achieve a smooth finish.
  3. Apply paint using various techniques, including brushing, rolling, and spraying, to achieve the desired texture and finish.
  4. Select appropriate paint colors and types based on the area's requirements and design specifications.
  5. Paint walls, ceilings, trims, doors, and other interior surfaces as needed.
  6. Paint exterior surfaces such as walls, fences, railings, and building facades to maintain a well-maintained appearance.
  7. Apply protective coatings and sealants to surfaces exposed to weather or high-traffic areas to ensure durability and longevity.
  8. Use masking tape and drop cloths to protect adjacent surfaces and minimize paint splatter.
  9. Mix paints to achieve the desired color and consistency.
  10. Ensure accurate color matching with existing paint schemes when performing touch-ups or repairs.
  11. Follow safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to minimize risks associated with paint and chemicals.
  12. Keep work areas clean and organized, disposing of waste and cleaning tools properly.
  13. Identify areas that require touch-ups, repairs, or repainting due to wear, damage, or fading.
  14. Collaborate with maintenance teams to address paint-related maintenance issues promptly.
  15. Collaborate with interior designers, maintenance supervisors, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment with design goals and maintenance needs.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as a painter, preferably in a hospitality or commercial setting.
  2. Proficiency in various painting techniques, tools, and equipment.
  3. Knowledge of different paint types, finishes, and their applications.
  4. Ability to work independently and follow design specifications and instructions.
  5. Attention to detail and an eye for color matching and visual aesthetics.
  6. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
  7. Basic understanding of safety procedures related to paint application and chemical handling.
  8. Physical stamina and ability to perform painting tasks that may involve standing, bending, and lifting.
  9. Flexibility to work during off-peak hours to minimize guest disruption.
  10. High school diploma or equivalent; additional painting certifications are a plus.
