Position: Receiving Clerk
Princess Hotels & Resorts Jamaica is seeking a reliable and organized Receiving Clerk to join our team. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely receipt of all goods and supplies for our hotel operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect all incoming deliveries, ensuring they match the purchase order and are in good condition
- Enter all received goods into the inventory system and distribute to the appropriate departments
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments
- Communicate with vendors to resolve any discrepancies or issues with deliveries
- Coordinate with the purchasing department to ensure all orders are placed and received in a timely manner
- Assist with inventory control by conducting regular stock counts and reporting any discrepancies
- Keep the receiving area clean and organized at all times
- Follow all safety and security procedures when handling and storing goods
- Assist with other duties as assigned by the Receiving Supervisor or management team.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in a receiving or warehouse environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record information
- Knowledge of inventory control procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management software
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
