The Maintenance Warehouse Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel's maintenance activities by effectively managing inventory, coordinating supply distribution, and maintaining a well-organized warehouse.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and engineering supplies, tools, and equipment stored in the warehouse.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and address any shortages or excesses.
- Lead and supervise a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper handling of hazardous materials, if applicable.
- Collaborate with the procurement department to source and purchase maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Establish relationships with vendors and negotiate pricing and terms to achieve cost-effective procurement.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to understand their supply needs and distribute items as required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, and returns.
- Assist in maintaining and repairing warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and shelving units.
- Collaborate with the maintenance manager and engineering teams to understand their requirements and optimize inventory management strategies.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the warehouse operations and inventory management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus).
- Previous experience in warehouse management or inventory control, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, as well as operate warehouse equipment safely.
- Knowledge of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment commonly used in a hotel setting.
