The Maintenance Warehouse Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel's maintenance activities by effectively managing inventory, coordinating supply distribution, and maintaining a well-organized warehouse.

Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and engineering supplies, tools, and equipment stored in the warehouse.
  2. Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and address any shortages or excesses.
  3. Lead and supervise a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  4. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper handling of hazardous materials, if applicable.
  5. Collaborate with the procurement department to source and purchase maintenance supplies and equipment.
  6. Establish relationships with vendors and negotiate pricing and terms to achieve cost-effective procurement.
  7. Coordinate with maintenance teams to understand their supply needs and distribute items as required.
  8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, and returns.
  9. Assist in maintaining and repairing warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and shelving units.
  10. Collaborate with the maintenance manager and engineering teams to understand their requirements and optimize inventory management strategies.
  11. Identify opportunities for process improvement within the warehouse operations and inventory management.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus).
  2. Previous experience in warehouse management or inventory control, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
  3. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  4. Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  5. Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  6. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, as well as operate warehouse equipment safely.
  7. Knowledge of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment commonly used in a hotel setting.
