About the job Servers (Room Service)
Job Responsibilities:
- Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner, taking room service orders accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
- Set up trays with appropriate utensils, condiments, and accompaniments before delivering the orders to guest rooms.
- Ensure that all food and beverages are presented and served in a professional and appealing manner.
- Assist in the preparation of food and beverage items, such as brewing coffee, slicing fruit, or assembling trays, as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the room service area, including restocking supplies and cleaning equipment.
- Follow all safety and sanitation protocols, including proper handling and storage of food and beverages.
- Address guest concerns or complaints promptly and escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate supervisor or manager.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and restaurant staff to ensure efficient service and guest satisfaction.
- Uphold the hotel's standards of service, striving to exceed guest expectations and create a memorable dining experience.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance knowledge of food and beverage offerings and service techniques.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to work under pressure of meeting production schedules and timelines for guests and fellow workers
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment providing courteous service
- Previous experience working in hospitality industry preferred
Education and Experience Requirements:
- The flexibility to work shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
