Core Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel's laundry department. Ensure that laundry services are provided in a timely manner and meet the quality standards set by the hotel.
  2. Coordinate and perform routine maintenance and repairs of laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, ironing machines, and folding equipment. Schedule and track preventive maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime.
  3. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards in the laundry department. 
  4. Collaborate with the housekeeping department to understand laundry requirements and establish efficient workflows. 

Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent. Additional technical certifications in laundry operations, equipment maintenance, or related fields are preferred.

  2. Proven experience (usually 3-5 years)  within a laundry department, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.

  3. Strong technical knowledge of laundry equipment maintenance and repair. Familiarity with various laundry machines and their operating principles.
  4. Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to laundry operations. Understanding of chemical handling and storage requirements.
  5. Attention to detail and quality orientation to ensure high standards of cleanliness and presentation of laundered items.

  6. Good organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate with staff at all levels.
  8. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy loads and work in a standing position for extended periods.
