Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food and Beverage Manager to join our team at Princess Hotels & Resorts Jamaica. As the Food and Beverage Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our food and beverage operations, including managing our restaurants, bars, and room service. You will work closely with our executive chef and other department heads to ensure the highest level of quality and service for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability for the food and beverage department
- Monitor and control food and beverage costs, ensuring they are in line with budgeted targets
- Create and maintain menus that reflect the brand and cater to the diverse tastes of our guests
- Oversee the ordering and inventory management of all food and beverage supplies
- Train, supervise, and schedule the food and beverage team to ensure efficient and effective operations
- Maintain high standards of food and beverage quality, presentation, and service
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and hygienic environment
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction
- Stay updated on industry trends and implement new ideas to enhance the food and beverage experience for our guests
- Prepare and analyze reports on food and beverage sales, costs, and profits for management review
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in food and beverage management, preferably in a luxury hotel setting
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven track record of managing food and beverage operations and achieving financial targets
- In-depth knowledge of food and beverage industry trends and best practices
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Knowledge of food and beverage cost control and inventory management
- Experience with budgeting and financial planning
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and restaurant management software
