As a Laundry Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate delivery and collection of hotel linens, uniforms, and guest laundry. Your role is vital in maintaining a smooth workflow between the laundry department and various hotel departments. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will contribute to the overall efficiency of our laundry operations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Safely operate the hotel's laundry delivery vehicle to transport clean linens, uniforms, and guest laundry to designated areas within the hotel.
  2. Collect soiled linens, uniforms, and guest laundry from various hotel departments and guest rooms, ensuring items are properly sorted and accounted for.
  3. Load and unload laundry items onto the delivery vehicle, ensuring they are handled with care to prevent damage or wrinkles.
  4. Ensure all laundry items are securely packed and appropriately labeled for delivery, following established procedures.
  5. Maintain an accurate delivery and pickup schedule, ensuring timely and efficient service to all hotel departments.
  6. Record all deliveries and pickups accurately, noting the quantity and type of items exchanged with each department.
  7. Collaborate with the Laundry Manager or Assistant Laundry Manager to address any discrepancies or special requests related to laundry delivery.
  8. Follow all traffic rules and safety regulations while driving the laundry delivery vehicle.
  9. Report any vehicle maintenance issues or concerns promptly to the appropriate personnel.
  10. Assist in loading and unloading laundry carts and operating laundry equipment as needed.
  11. Provide excellent customer service to hotel staff and guests during the delivery and pickup process.
  12. Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures, including those related to safety, sanitation, and security.

Requirements:

  1. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  2. Previous experience in driving and delivery roles is preferred, but not always required.
  3. Familiarity with local traffic rules and regulations.
  4. Physical stamina to handle loading and unloading laundry items.
  5. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  6. Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet delivery schedules.
  7. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  8. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by the business demands.
  9. Knowledge of laundry operations and procedures is an advantage.
