As a Laundry Maintenance Supervisor in a hotel, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of laundry equipment and facilities. Your role will involve managing a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring proper functioning and efficiency of laundry machinery, and implementing preventive maintenance programs. By ensuring the smooth operation of laundry equipment, you will contribute to the efficient and effective delivery of laundry services within the hotel.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise and coordinate the activities of the laundry maintenance team, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.

  2. Conduct regular inspections of laundry machinery and facilities to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and areas for improvement.

  3. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the optimal functioning and longevity of laundry equipment.

  4. Maintain maintenance records, including equipment service history, repairs, and maintenance schedules.

  5. Collaborate with the hotel's procurement department to ensure timely availability of spare parts and necessary supplies for maintenance and repairs.

  6. Coordinate with external service providers and contractors for specialized maintenance or repairs when necessary.
  7. Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identifying the root cause and implementing appropriate corrective actions.
  8. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards in all maintenance activities.
  9. Recruit, train, and supervise maintenance technicians, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification or relevant vocational training preferred).

  2. Previous experience in a maintenance or repair role, preferably in a hotel laundry or similar setting.

  3. Strong knowledge of laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, ironers, and folding machines, and their maintenance requirements.

  4. Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems related to laundry equipment.

  5. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, perform repairs, and conduct preventive maintenance.

  6. Experience in managing a team of maintenance technicians, including assigning tasks, setting priorities, and monitoring performance.

  7. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  8. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with staff at all levels and provide clear instructions and feedback.

  9. Knowledge of safety regulations, electrical safety practices, and environmental guidelines related to laundry maintenance.

  10. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as the hotel's laundry operations may require.
