Responsibilities:

  1. Wedding Planning and Coordination:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for couples and their families throughout the wedding planning process.

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and specific requirements for their wedding day.

  • Coordinate all aspects of the wedding, including venue selection, menu planning, decor, entertainment, and logistics.

  1. Sales and Client Relationship Management:

  • Conduct tours and showcase the hotel's wedding venues, amenities, and services to potential clients.

  • Prepare detailed proposals, contracts, and pricing packages tailored to meet each client's needs.

  • Nurture and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their expectations are met or exceeded.

  1. Vendor Management:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with trusted vendors, such as florists, photographers, musicians, and event planners.

  • Recommend and coordinate vendor services, ensuring seamless execution of the wedding day.

  • Negotiate contracts and manage vendor agreements, adhering to budgetary guidelines.

  1. Wedding Day Execution:

  • Oversee and manage all wedding day activities, including setup, timeline coordination, and guest services.

  • Ensure that all arrangements are executed flawlessly, paying close attention to details and guest satisfaction.

  • Handle any issues or emergencies that may arise during the event, providing prompt and effective resolutions.

  1. Team Leadership and Training:

  • Lead and supervise a team of event coordinators, banquet staff, and other wedding department personnel.

  • Provide guidance, training, and support to the team, fostering a culture of excellence and professionalism.

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, recognizing achievements and identifying areas for improvement.

  1. Budgeting and Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage the weddings department budget, ensuring financial objectives are met.

  • Monitor and control expenses, ensuring cost-effective operations without compromising service quality.

  • Identify revenue-generating opportunities and upselling possibilities to maximize profitability.

  1. Marketing and Promotions:

  • Collaborate with the marketing department to develop and implement targeted marketing strategies for wedding services.

  • Participate in bridal shows, wedding expos, and industry events to promote the hotel's wedding offerings.

  • Maintain an active online presence, including social media platforms and wedding planning websites.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Proven experience in wedding planning and coordination, preferably within a luxury hotel or high-end event venue.

  • Strong knowledge of wedding industry trends, traditions, and best practices.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and vendors.

  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office suite.

  • Understanding of budgeting and financial management principles.
